THE PLAYERS AND THEIR PARENTS/GUARDIANS TO FIND OR START TEAMS.

INFORMATION.
THE BEST WAYS TO FIND A
CLUB TEAM IN YOUR AREA IS EITHER THROUGH LOCAL SCHOOL CONTACTS OR
THROUGH ADS FROM COMMUNITY PAPERS.
Several tournaments claim to be AAU, but
are not sanctioned through the AAU office. These tournaments do not
carry AAU's insurance, nor do they adhere to AAU policies and
procedures. If you see a tournament advertised as an AAU tournament,
but do not see the tournament on our web pages, please call the AAU
office at the number below.
For Girls Basketball, the Ohio District offers 3 types of AAU
tournaments:
2010
District Qualifer Tournaments
These tournaments are solely for clubs within Ohio's
District. The top teams (depending on number of entrants) qualify
for AAU DI Nationals. Participants in the District Qualifiers
who do not qualify for AAU DI Nationals are eligible for DII
Nationals.For each age group, the DI and DII brackets are held on
the dates below. The entry fee for each tournament is
$300.
Dear Players, Coaches, Parents, and Fans,
Thank You very much for your participation in the
Ohio AAU State Championships (the only REAL and BEST event to
Determine Ohio’s true State Champions). We’d also like to thank the
folks at McGee’s Courts 4 Sports for allowing us to move the event
to their facility as this year’s 9U-11U Grade School age State
Championships exceeded initial expectations for participants. Our
appreciation also goes out to all of the Cincinnati Heat Premier
Volunteers and South Western Ohio Licensed Officials for their
efforts. Finally, we appreciate the support given to us by Ohio AAU
District Officers for their volunteer efforts on behalf of girls
basketball and especially Ohio Governor Ken Yablonsky for collecting
this years’ entries and Secretary Bill Kroth for checking in teams
Friday night, and presenting Medals to our Champions Sunday.
We hope that all of you enjoyed your time with us
and continue to support the AAU Brand where the admission is kept to
a minimum, the facilities are great, and the quality of each game is
maximum since the girls have longer warm ups, play more minutes, and
longer halftimes by playing AAUJ.
We also wish all our teams the best of luck at
Nationals … may no team be left behind … compete in either DI, DII,
or DIII AAU National Championships … the best way to culminate the
2010 AAU season.

Super
Regional Tournaments
These tournaments offer quality competition as well
as a chance to qualify for AAU Nationals. Note that if a team plays
in a Super Regional and qualifies for Nationals, the team MUST also
play in the District Qualifier.

These
tournaments are AAU sanctioned events. AAU insurance has been
purchased through the sanction application. These tournaments are
open to any teams registered with the AAU. Tournament rules are
administered through the tournament host.
For participation
in any of the above tournaments, a current AAU membership is
required by all players, coaches, and team administrators.
